BIOS Menu 9: General ACPI Configuration [Advanced\ ACPI Configuration]
Suspend Mode [Auto]
Use the Suspend Mode option to specify the sleep state the system enters when it is not
being used.
S1 (POS)
The system enters S1(POS) sleep state. The system
appears off. The CPU is stopped; RAM is refreshed; the
system is running in a low power mode.
S3 (STR)
The system enters a S3(STR) sleep state. The CPU has
no power; RAM is in slow refresh; the power supply is in a
reduced power mode.
Auto DEFAULT
The BIOS automatically selects a sleep state for the
system.
